Thankyou for Very important and nice questions
Before travelling make sure about your routine vaccines.
First you should know what diseases are common in Nigeria. For example,Malaria,
Hepatitis B,HIV,yellow fever,
Hepatitis A,and Typhoid.
I would suggest
1. Hepatitis A vaccine, because you could get infection through contaminated water and food.
2.Typoid vaccine..It would prevent if you are travelling to rural or smaller cities of Nigeria.
3.The Government of Nigeria would require proof that you have got
yellow fever vaccine if you are travelling from the country where yellow fever is common.
4.Take strict precaution to prevent from HIV,Hepatitis B and other STD(sexualy transmited diseases).
5.For Malaria
chemoprophylaxis, I would suggest chemoprophylaxis 1 week before departure until 4 weeks after return.
Recommended medicines are either Atovaquone
-proguanil ,doxycycline or
mefloquine.
Hope my answer is helpfull for you,if you have any further quiry plz dont hesitate to ask.
