Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes; I wanted to go on a diet eating, vegetables and fruits, mainly - allium, cruciferous and citrus. But then I read somewhere that if you have problems with your thyroid, cruciferous vegetables are not good for you. I had a small goiter years ago and it seems to have disappeared or gotten much smaller. I had forgotten about it since none of my doctors have noticed it either. I am overweight and would like to try a veggie diet. Can you help me solve this? Thanks Tracey
For weight loss no need for veggie diet you need balanced. Diet. For thyroid it doesn't go levels does not increase.veggies in only hilly region have high iodine not all over. Just have balances healthy diet and exercise for weight loss. Consult dietician.
