Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Ways To Control Hypertension In An Elderly Person
I have high blood pressure. It was 166/116 yesterday. Today it is 144/101 pulse is 87. I am also having pains in the upper right chest which is going into my neck. It kinda makes my neck tense up like a muscle spasm. Should I be alarmed Never mind. I don't have any money or insurance.
I wish to know if you are on BP medications. Your BP is quite high and needs to be stabilized, given the long-term effects of high BP. The secrets to having BP under control are: • Taking medications well • Low salt diet • Healthy lifestyle modification
I will advise you see the doctor for examination and BP medication, if not yet on treatment. On your part, have low salt diet, do regular exercises, and avoid stress. You also need to get your upper right chest examined by the doctor as only a medical examination may help to know what may be causing it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
