Suggest Ways To Handle Migraine Attacks While Breastfeeding
I am having a headache most probably a migraine attack. I dont take any medicine generally for it. The frequency in the last few years when I was not working was once in 3-4 months and I was able to manage without medication. However after starting to work again in the last 3-4 months, the frequency of attacks has gone up. My body and mind feels paralysed. Sometimes I take Naxdom 250, the pain goes away with it, but the body and mind feels weak. Also since I am breastfeeding, i dont know if its safe to take Naxdom 250. Please guide me as to how I should handle a migraine attack and how do I save myself from getting one.
Migraineheadaches usually increase during postpartum period[After delivery]. Keep an eye on precipitating factors like decreased sleep, exposure to sun, dehydration etc.If you can identify it,avoid the precipitating factore to reduce the frequency of headaches. You can use naxdom 250 mg or paracetamol 500 mg during an acute episode. If frequency is high you can take Tab.Propranalol 20 mg for prophylaxis.
