Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've recently lost weight during my weight loss I found out I had type 2 diabetes , controlling w one janumet a day, I take ziac for high bp, n I've noticed since my sugar has been under control my bp has been running between 97/67 to 110/69 or 70, so for me that seems kinda low but it ur normal?
You are right those blood pressure values are low, not in the sense that you should worry and panic, but in the sense that if those values are not on a persistent basis perhaps your treatment could be modified in order for you not to take unnecessary drugs. Ziac which you take contains two different drugs combined in one pill (Bisoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide). As I said only if you have consistently low values you should consider with your physician whether only one of those drugs could be enough for you. Of course subsequently you should continue to monitor blood pressure and reconsider therapy periodically. High blood pressure is a chronic disease which could be influenced by various causes over time and its therapy is not necessarily static. Hope to have answered your question.
