Suggest Ways To Manage Hypertension While On Quinapril And Amlodipine

I went to the Dr a month ago and found out I hve high blood pressure. It was 242/160. I am now on Quinapril twice a day and Amlodipine once a day. My blood pressure is down to 168/98 and I feel like crap. IMy get up and go got up and left. My question is; Is there an adjustment period for my body to get used to this? If it helps I am 60 years old.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
As your blood pressure was quite high earlier and now it is down to 168/98 and that is why you are not feeling well even though your blood pressure is still on the higher side.
I will advise you to wait for another couple of weeks and you will adjust to the new levels.
Try to check your BP after every 2 - 3 days.
If,after a couple of weeks, you still feel like what you wrote "crap",you can visit your physician.
I hope my answer helps.
Thanks,
Dr.Prabhas Verma
