Suggest Ways To Regulate Medication For Bipolar While Working In Rotational Shifts
I am bipolar I currently take 20mg Escitlropan in the morning and 400mg lamotragine at night.
I am due to start a shift rotation job in a lab 2 days 2 nights 4 days off all are 12 hours 0600 - 1800 (days) 1800 -0600 (nights) how should I adjust my medication to suit please?
Escitalopram has 12 to 16 hours of half life and lamotrigine has 24 hours half life. In that case, you can take them in divided doses like 10 mg of escitalopram with 200 lamotrigine in morning and 10 mg of escitalopram with 200 lamotrigine at night. That way, it would not effect on your working schedule.
Thanks
