Suggest Ways To Treat Weak Urine Stream And Bladder Sensation Post Alfusin Intake?

Hi, Age 54, Male PSA 3.26, Prostate 46.5 cc, and shows normal echo texture. Pre void 330 cc, PVRU 19 cc. No calcifications are seen. Taking alfusin 10 mg for the past 1 and a half year. When not enough water is taken the stream is weak and dribbling, otherwise fine but after urination sensation of the bladder is not fully empty. Please suggest.

Hello,

Continue taking the medicine prescribed by your treating doctor. Sensation of not being able to empty the bladder fully is due to prostate swelling, prostatitis, infection, urethritis, urethral strictures and bladder stones. Report your symptoms to your treating doctor or a urologist so that you can be clinically examined.

You will be treated with alpha blocker medications, like Rapaflo to improve urine flow. If symptoms do not get better than the treating doctor will consider minimal invasive surgery to help widen the prostatic urethra, allowing urine to flow more easily.

It should improve by minimal invasive surgery, if not, then the surgeon can recommend surgery to unblock urethral obstruction from an enlarged prostate. Take adequate quantity of water and fluids to stay comfortable.
