Suggest Ways To Wean Off From Hydrocodone, Tylenol And Klonopin

I am taking pain med hydrocodone and Tylenol for last few years. Now my doctor has just added buspar for anxiety. It has only been a week. And I was on klonipin for two years prior. I stopped taking klonipin. And my goal is to not take any anxiety meds. What is a fair estimate of time? When I can drop a med and not have severe withdrawal symptoms? I am 49 year old female. Thank you.....

Hi,

This is always a good idea to give drugs a trial of stopping though it may not be successful every time. In would suggest you should reduce the dose by 10 to 20 per cent every 1 to 2 weeks until you stop it if possible. Howe'ver any time down the course if you feel unwell you should go back to your previous dose. Also, focus on meditation and relaxation exercises to tackle anxiety. It's important not to take any decision without consultation of your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
