I ve tried several times to wean myself off very very slowely It seems when i get down to 30mg I get serve headaches, nauseous and anxiety. Any sugestions or thoughts. Thanks mike
Nardil is an antidepressant with many side effects. Alternating days of higher and lower doses are a tactic that can be used in tapers (45 or whatever the previous dose is, alternating with 30 mg for example).
There are many drug and food interactions with nardil. They have one essential feature in common...they only occur if nardil is present and they do not occur if it is not. Nardil is moderately long acting and stays in the system approximately 3 days. After this time of being absolutely off of it, other antidepressants with or wtihout mild sedatives can be safely given. It's not safe giving them WITH nardil.
