Suggest What To Do For Stools In Vagina After Episiotomy?
I had an epoisitomy a week ago delivering my first child. I didn t have many bowel movements until yesterday. Today I discovered stools in my vagina. How can I get them out? I use the site bath & shower wand, it that hasn t gotten all of it. What can I do, should I try to get it out or will it com out on its own?
Hi, Thanks for sharing your problem with us. This could be a serious problem like fistula or you may have encountered a 4th degree tear during delivery. You may need an operation for correction of this problem. You should see your obstetrician as soon as possible for confirmation & diagnosis. The doctor will then tell you about the line of action. Try to avoid constipation by drinking lots of water & high fiber diet. Hope you get well soon.
