Suggestion For Dizziness After A Cortoid Artery Surgery

my husband just had corotid artery surgery in his neck about 1 month ago. everthing was fine until now every so often gets dizzy spells at work. what could it be or what could he take. he has also high blood pressure and takes meds and drinks beer only on the weekend. he also has bad ears alway stuffed with wax. he doesn t faint or pass out or having any other feelings but dizzy and weak and then it goes away. he also has a very stressful job in sales. thanks

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted the history of your husband having hypertension and stressful life. Had a carotid surgery about one month back and now developed dizziness and weakness.

I would advise him the following:
Carotid color doppler and MRI angiography of the neck and the brain to see if there are any vascular causes.
Monitor blood pressure to normal.
Once the diagnosis is made, to get treated accordingly.
