Suggestions For Taking Tinz Pack Or Cortisone Injection Or Both

my doctor wants to give me a cortisone injection in my chest (left side, under pec, upper ribs) for costocondritis pain I have had for about 8 months or so. Have had a predizone pack that didnt work, no real luck with ibuprofen, nsaids, etc. He also wants to give me a Tinz pack. Dont know what to do. Should i do both or can I just get the Tinz pack? I also have had physical therapy which helped some but didnt clear it up. Are there risks of shot to chest???

Hello,

Cortisone injection will be a better choice. You can also opt for newer techniques like ultrasonic and TENS for better pain relief.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
