Suicidal Thoughts When Taking Chantax. Taking Cymbalta For WED/RLS And Peripheral Neuropathy. Switch To Chantax, Ok?

I presently take Cymbalta 30 mg. for nerve pain connected to my WED/RLS and the peripheral neuropathy in both legs. I am a smoker, and would like to give Chantax another try. I took it about 3 years ago and had not smoked for 2 months. One night at the symphony, I was deep into listening to the music, when I realized another part of my brain was thinking of ways to end my life. I asked my husband to get me out of there as I taxhought I was about to scream. I never took another Chantax. At that time I was not taking Cymbalta.

Chantix is indicated for use as an aid to smoking cessation treatment & has suicidal tendency as one of the common side effects & deaths have been reported. However behavioral training, non nicotine pharmacotherapy, nicotine spray/gum/patch etc are available for abstinence from smoking.I suggest to consult de-addiction center for further management.Hope this helps.Take care.
