Sweatiness Around Ears, Eczema Problem, Itching, Got Rash. How Would I Treat This?
When I m playing on the computer I usually have a headset on. This has caused sweatiness around my ears and because of my eczema problem they ve started itching. I now have an itchy dry skin like rash above my ear and on my ear on the edge and it keep pussing, bubbling and sometimes bleed on the areas. How would I treat this?
From the information you have provided, this very much resembles seborrheic dermatitis. treatment is usually with a low dose steroid containing cream. The difficulty here is that it needs a close examination to make sure it is not another fungal infection and to exclude other possible causes of skin infection.
For this, I will suggest that you get consulted to confirm the suspicion before goinng ahead with treatment. This is because, the treatments plans differ depending on what the exact diagnosis. For this, a primary care physician would be able to address this.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and thanks for using our services. Feel free to ask us more questions if need be. Thanks Dr. Ditah, MD
