Swelling And Lumps On Chin After A Dog Bite. Could It Be Hematoma?

My daughter got bitten on her chin by a dog . The dog punctured the chin deeply but the scar is healing . My daughter chin is however still a bit swollen and she has 2 'peas sized ' lumps in her chin . The accident happened just over 2 weeks ago Just wondering if this could be a hematoma and if so will it disperse

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

You might have developed deep bacterial infections.

There is a possibility of bacteria getting access through wound.

Treatment is with antibiotics

Its better if the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
