Swelling, Bruise On Buttock After Falling. Iced It, Took Ibuprofen. Leg Muscle Hurt And Tight. Any Damage?
Hi, I fell down stairs back in June when my feet went straight out from under me. so I fell about 4 feet straight onto my buttock on the edge of the step. It bruised immediately and swole. I iced it right away and took ibuprofen. a fist sized know developed right away also. I layed around rest of that day but was on my feet and moving around several hours the next day and so on. the bruise eventually faded and the knot slowly went away. it has remained kinda sore and now months later is really hurting pretty regular. the muscle running through the buttock and down the back of leg is super tight and achy even tho I stretch daily. could I have done permanent damage somehow? any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi You could haven gotten a hematoma. That one eventually will get absorbed. But it is better for you to rule out any hairline fracture to pelvic bone.So better have an x ray examination and rule out.hope this may help you.thanks.
