Swollen Breast During Periods. Left Breast Less Swollen Than Right And Leaking Fluid. Reason?
I am a 34 year old female with 2 kids. I am about to start my period on Sun/mon and my breasts tend to swell a little during this time. The swelling of my L breast has gone down, but the R breast is still swollen and leak a tinge of fluid (very little). The Breast does not hurt and is not swore any more. I have a Paraguard so the chance of pregnancy is low. I am also having cramps so I know my period is on the way. What do you think?

Dear Jenakidd,
This is your second half of menstrual cycle.Premenstrual swelling and tenderness of both breasts occurs during the second half of the menstrual cycle.
Symptoms of premenstrual breast tenderness may range from mild to severe. Symptoms typically peak just before each menstrual period and improve immediately after or during the menstrual period
Breast tissue may have dense, rough, feel to the fingers
During the menstrual cycle, estrogen production increases and peaks just prior to midcycle. This causes enlargement of the breast ducts. Premenstrually, progesterone peaks near the 21st day (in a 28-day cycle) and causes growth of the breast lobules (milk glands)that is what you describe as discharge.
So these changers are physiological and normal things. these are not pathological.
so..Hope you can understand.
