Swollen Butt Cheek After Falling Down, Lump After 7 Months. Will This Be Normal Anytime?
I fell very hard down stairs landed on right buttcheek. Instantly swelled up and the next day whole cheek was black and bruised. Now after 7 months of healing I still have a baseball sized lump and seems to be a permanent tear in muscle along with pain and radiates heat over lump... Very visable deep line thru middle of cheek? What does this mean and will it ever go back to normal?
Most contusions are minor and heal quickly, but, severe contusions can cause deep tissue damage and can lead to complications .
Sometimes a pool of blood collects within damaged tissue, forming a lump over the injury (hematoma)Contusions cause swelling and pain near the injury. The injured muscle may feel weak and stiff. Your deep line is blood outside any blood vessel and is harmless; your body will absorb this slowly over the next few weeks.
To control pain and inflammation, keep the muscle in a gentle stretch position and Rest .If no relief then get examined by an orthopedician and get x-ray done for hip region.
