Swollen Gland Under The Jaw, Pain In The Upper Wisdom Tooth And Itchy Ear. Reason?
Hiya, I have a swollen glad under my jaw it feels like a size of a grape or just a bit smaller. I had pain in the upper wisdom tooth area on the same side which the GP gave me antibiotics for, but the gland has not gone away it is still the same. I am very worried about this please could you give me some advice. I have a itchy ear on this side too.
Infections are the most common cause of swollen gland/lymph nodes. Infections that can cause them include:
Abscessed or impacted tooth,Ear infection, Colds, flu, and other infections, Gingivitis ,Mouth sores,Tonsillitis,Skin infections
pain in wisdom tooth shows sign of infection, antibiotics will resides the infection for sometimes and will recurr if tooth is not treated
get an OPG done for complete evaluation
go for extraction if tooth is impacted and infection
meanwhile continue your analgesic and antibiotic cover
thanks
