Swollen gums may be due to gingivitis.
I would suggest you to get scaling done.
Please get thorough examination by a dentist and check any pocket or bone loss associated.
Pus has to be drained and curetted if present.
Take nutritional food and fuids.
Vitamin becosules,c,iron and folic acid tablets has to be taken.
Vitamin-c rich fruits like oranges, lemon, leafy vegetables has to be taken.
Maintain good oral hygiene.
Use chlorhexidine mouthrinse to gargle.
Regarding the blood urine discharge get urine as well as blood investigations done.

Hello there ,

Thanks for writing your query,

Swelling in the gums and pus formation indicates gingival infection or gingival abscess.

It is caused due poor oral hygiene ,improper brushing and flossing that leads to accumulation of bacterial plaque and calculus deep in the gum pockets and root surfaces of the teeth.

It needs to be treated by thorough professional deep scaling of gums and root planing of the teeth to remove all the irritants ,this will help in resolving the symptoms followed by a course of antibiotic and analgesics.

i would suggest you to go for symptomatic treatment at home like gargling with lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine or betadine.

Blood in the urine is called HEMATURIA and it cannot be related with dental problems , you need to get the problem evaluated by a physician.

i hope this helps ,

take care.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

I understand that your dad is suffering from swollen gums and cheek . Did his urine output increase or did he get blood in the urine? If there was blood this needs to be sorted out with a nephrologist[kidney specialist].
For the swelling there is definitely a decayed tooth or a serious infection in the gums which has lead to spread of infection in the spaces. Did he apply anything hot on his cheeks? Avoid any hot application as it can increase the swelling. Visit a dentist immediately.

Hi,
Thanks for asking query,
It seems that your father is having gingival inflamation and if it is not treated timley it will proceed into periodontitis that will harm his tooth more.
I suggest you to go to the dentist and get the scaling done, take proper antibiotic and analgesic, antiseptic mouthwash, brush properly twice aday, and prevent food lodgment.
The bleeding in urine is not related to dental infection and neither to these antibiotics you should consult the physician for this.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Regarding teeth and gums - Dentists do excellent job in such situations / he will be better in a couple of days..
Bloody urine is unlikely to have anything to do with oral problem or the antibiotic. You have not stated his age, personal habits, family history or co-morbidities.. Urinary infection, stone, prostate are a few of the several possibilities...consult an Urologist...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
