Swollen Labia Minora, Itching, Pain On Walking. Taking Monistat For Yeast Infection. Cure?
Hi, so my labia minora is very swollen. I had a minor yeast infection and treated it with monistat. But that made me more itchy and burning. I ve heard that monistat can do that to some women AFTER I used it. My main concern is my swollen labia. It s the right side and it even hurts to walk. What is the fastest and best way to cure it?!!
Hello Dear and welcome
In my opinion you have to take a oral antibiotics to control the infection this may be due to bacteria along with yeast. In addition to this your have to follow certain steps like:
1. Keep the area dry and in hygienic condition.
2. Wash the area with betadine solution or fresh water 2-3 times a day.
3. Avoid intercourse till the symptoms completely subside.
4. Do not use any ointment without prescription or your doctor.
Consult your treating doctor and get examined properly and have a course of antibiotics.
Best Wishes
