Swollen Lymph Nodes In Groin And Neck, Not Changing In Size. Symptoms Of Hodgkins Lymphoma?
I m a 23 yr old overall healthy female. Ive had swollen lymph nodes in groin and neck for at least 5 years. They don t change size and they do not hurt. I am concerned that they are always there. I ve also read symptoms of hodgkins lymphoma that scare me into thinking I have that. When should I be concerned to get a blood test for lymph nodes?
hi there, enlarged lymph nodes for the last 5 years without any symptoms is not suggestive of hodgkin's lymphoma as such but you can always put your mind at rest by getting a peripheral smear test done along with a FNAC of the lymph node. If you are otherwise asymptomatic if your FNAC tests are normal then you can just relax and stop worrying about it. It would be worthwhile to get ESR also done which will point to any other systemic infection.Take care.
