Swollen Nose, Sores Outside Nose With Puss, Sinus Drainage. Took Antibiotics, Not Helping. What Is The Cure?

Hi I am Karen. My husband friend thinks he has Wegener;s granulomatusis? I have been reading on this and I am not for sure.His nose is swollen and red and he gets sores on the outside of his nose. They are like pimples which some have puss in them and others just have drainage in them. They take forever to heal. He is also missing the tissue down the center off his nose . and has a lot of drainage with his sinus. We have been to three ENT's dr's so far and they give him some antibotic and that helps while he on them He coughs a lot of munus several times a day. I am lost where to next. They really do not know what to do. I need to know where to take him next

I read your query, and i must suggest you that wegeners granulomatosis is a disease of the microvascular system and usually presents late. patients usually presents with some other symptoms than the features you have narrated. I would suggest you to get the C.T scan of the paranasal sinuses to rule out the Chronic sinusitis. and subesequently you may consult the skin specialist for second opinion.
