Swollen, Painful Lump In Vagina With Some Puss. Is This A Cause Of Concern?
Hi. So I have a swollen, painful lump in the mons area of my vagina. I thought it was an infected hair because there was some pus and blood that came out of a hair follicle. But after draining the pus I still have the painful lump. It is almost like a straight line, a quarter of an inch wide by about an inch long. What could this be?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
As you have mentioned about swelling and pus discharge, common cause is hair follicle infection. As you have mentioned swelling which could be due to incomplete drainage of pus. Pus needs to be drained and antibiotic treatment is needed for infection.Get examined by a doctor for management. Keep area dry and clean. Wash inner wears in antiseptic soap and sun dry.
Get your blood sugar test done as increased blood sugar values can result in repeated infection.
Hope this helps you.
