Systematic Lupus, Scleroderma With Other Conditions. Tolerance To Morphine After Taking It For 10 Years, Withdrawal Symptoms If Stopped. Advice
Ive been on morphine 60mg 3 times a day and 15mg Ir as needed for about 10 years now and I feel that Ive worked up a tolerence to it. It doesnt really take the pain away atleast not like it should be. I want to get off it and try something new but the withdraws are horrible and I dont think I could go with out any pain meds..I have systematic lupus and scleroderma VERY painful. I also have many other conditions Ive had 3 major strokes and Ive had an esophegtmy what is your advise?
Hi, you are habbituated for morphine, you are feeling that it is not working upon you, probably with the idea of increasing the dose, what ever it may be you can consult a psychiatrist for tapering the dose and to start a new drug . Don't worry you will be fine, practice yoga, meditation, etc, and try to have a balanced and nutritious diet. Thank you.
