T4 Is 0.9. Stopped Taking Synthroid. Should I Worry?
I've been having thyroid issues my T4 came back 0.9, Tsh 3G is 4.10 my rbc is 4.1 and hgb 12.6... anyways was on synthroid 0.50 for about 7 years... in dec I started getting itchy and my hair straw like so stopped taking synthroid. My dr states my thyroid is fine... I am not losing weight, working out crazy and eating less.... Is my T4 something to be concerned about?
Hi, Welcome to HCM, After going through your history, you have some thyroid issues and was taking Thyroxine supplementation for more than 7 years. Your T4 it is not clear if it is FT4 then it is below optimal and slightly raised TSH 4.10. You should consult Endocrinologist and go for through medical check up with all hormonal investigations repeated. Then treatment depends on result of new workup. If there is auto immune issue then antibodies like anti TPO and thyroglobulin should also be done. Your weight loss may or may not be related to thyroid issue take care of diet and exercise and have patience you will be able to lose weight. Hope this helps. Take care. Good Luck.
