hie!! my weight is 82kgs and just 2 weeks ago i was diagnosed with high TSH i.e 64... untill august 2011 i had regular menstrual cycle however after that i got it in december 2011 for 3days and then after having deviry 10mg for 5days after diner i got it again on 20april..during my menstrual cycle i did my blood test for FSH and tyroid, wherein i came to know that i have high TSH. my doctor has asked me to take tyronorm 75mg which i have started taking from today morning. i even have started following a regular diet and go for walks for 1hour everyday. just want to know if take these medicines regularly and continue with my diet and walk is it possible for me to lose weight, its important for me to lose weight as i plan to get married early next year. also was the delay in my menstrual cycle due to tyroid and will it be normal after regular medicines and diet.

Welcome to HCM
Thyroid disorder can cause weight gain and menstrual cycle abnormality. Both can get corrected once throid levels regularise. Diet and exercise can also help. Try yoga too.So dont worry you can lose weight.
