Taken Utovlan To Stop Menstruation. Will Periods Become Erratic?
I have been given Utovlan to stop menstruation while I am on honeymoon. I was advised to start taking it four days before my period is due (its due two days after I arrive in Dubai). My concern is that my periods can be erratic and can come up to five days early. Would I be ok to start taking it earlier than four days before the due date ?
Congratulations on your wedding. I wish you a very nice honeymoon and a great marriage live.
This drug is often prescribed as your doctor has instructed. However, if you cannot entirely predict when your menses would start then you may want to be a little more cautious and start earlier. It makes sense but I would like that you discuss this with your doctor and get his opinion. If i were your treating doctor, I would have said YES.
I hope this helps and I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask more questions if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD
