Taking Effesxor 75 And Ativan 0.5. Started Doxycyline For Acne. Increased Depresion. Related?

My husband is taking Effexor 75 mg three times a day and Ativan 0.5 mg four times a day. He started taking Doxycyline three days ago for persistent acne, and has noted a sudden and marked increase in depression. Is it possible that the change is related to his medications? (He has had two courses of doxycyline at various times in the past while being on the same meds and did not notice this type of reaction before. I am not prerpared to pay the fee at this time.
