Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Taking Lisinopril, Bisoprolol, Amlodipine, Potassium. Is Gingko Biloba Safe To Take?
I am considering taking a supplement that is supposed to provide more vigor for seniors. I am a 78-year-old woman in good health. I take three meds to keep my blood pressure under control. One of the ingredients in the supplement I'm considering is gingko biloba, and I understand it has some negative interactions with some drugs. My blood pressure meds are lisiniprol HCTZ, bisoprolol, and amlodipine. I also take potassium because of the diuretic in the lisinoprol HCTZ. My question is if the gingko biloba would be safe for me to take. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Yvonne
