what are the side effects of lisinopril. i have type 2 diabetes and am taking it to safe guarding the kidneys. it says it also helps with high blood pressure. i take 5 mg. once a day. i started taking it about 6 months ago. before that my blood pressure was fine now i find my blood pressure to be on the low side. can it cause my pressure to go so low that arising from bed it can make me feel so weak that i fall.
Hypotension and postural hypotension are no side effect of lisinopril. Hypotension in a diabetic may be due to dehydration or renal disease. I would advice my patient to evaluate for renal disease. Based on the evaluation lisinopril may be stopped it there is any renal in suffice.
