Hi, Most of the short-term side effects of amphetamines can often be dealt with by changing the time or dose of medication, or both. Common side effects include decreased appetite, delayed onset of sleep, headaches, stomachaches, and increases in blood pressure and pulse. Uncommon side effects include late withdrawal effects when the drug slowly wears out , sometimes called rebound. Long-acting preparations and added small doses of immediate-release medication before onset of the rebound usually result in relief. Rarely it produces hallucinations, depressed mood, repetitive thoughts or behavior and involuntary movements. These are all indications to discontinue the medication until they disappear. Hope this helps, Dr Anjana rao.
