Taking Antibiotics, Feeling Tired. Blood Test Shows Parathyroid Problems. What Do I Do?

I have been feelin really tired and am on antibiotics but my dr. said to make an appointment with a specialist. She took blood tests and said i have parathyroid problems. Since I am on medicare most doctors (endocrinologists) are not taking medicare patients. The best I can do is in a month with a very new dr. What do I do?

Hello.. Welcome to HCM.

Tiredness and lethargy are most common in thyroid dysfunction. Parathyroid dysfunction most commonly has an effect on calcium and Vit D metabolism and hence may not be directly related to your tiredness.
Recheck for Thyroid function (i.e. T3, T4, TSH). Conventional medicine requires you to take Thyroid supplements if thyroid levels found to be low (which is mostly the case with such symptoms as tiredness, low feeling, hairfall, skin dryness, associated hormonal problems, constipation, recurrent illness).

Thank you.
