Taking Antibiotics For Coughing Yellow Phlegm. How To Cure As Lot Of Sinus Drainage Is Going Down Throat?
I had had throat problems for approx. 3 years....lots of phlegm/mucous....coughing up phlegm, sometimes clear, sometimes yellow/green. I have been given antibiotics which works very short term. My throat feels like it is on fire and raw. I seem to have a lot of drainage from my sinus' constantly going down my throat. I also have a dry cough and am constantly trying to my throat. What can I do to help this ?
Hi. Chronic infections need a ling course of antibiotics. Secondly, you have t go for a CT scan of para-nasal sinuses to know the exact amount of sinusitis you are suffering from. This will guide us to decide whether you need a long medical treatment or surgery. The throat will get automatically OK if the sinuses are well treated. So you need a consultation with an ENT Surgeon. IN the meantime you can use decongestant nasal drops followed by steam inhalation.
