In general constipation can be caused by chronic bacterial infection (due to bactrum or any other antibiotic usage), bad diet (low fiber intake, low mineral water intake), hypothyroidism, medicines (ca-blockers, antidepressants) or even colon cancer. I suggest you to start with diet change (increase fiber rich products), start probiotic intake. If it wont help, stool culture test should be done.
