Taking Cold Syrup With Cod, Tripol, Ppseudo Hcl As Ingredients. Is It Safe To Drink Alcohol On This Medication?
Hi there,
I have been given cough syrup with the following ingredients: COD/TRIPROL/PSUEDO HCL. I have been taking 10ml, 3 times a day for the past 3 days. I am supposed to take it for 5 days total. I am going away this weekend and was wondering if I am able to drink alcohol while on this medication? What are the risks is I do?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Codeine, triproline, pseudoephedrine all are , cough suppressant and respiratory depressant . Similarly alcohol is also respiratory depressant , so you may fall in trouble ( if you drive any vehicle that would be dangerous). In my opinion please avoid alcohol for concomitantly use with these drugs. Good luck. Dr. HET
