Taking Coreg For Hypertension. Itchy Welts On The Arms And Legs. No Relief After Taking Lasix. Allergic To Medication?

Hello, I have been taking a blood pressure medication Coreg , and have started itching with welts mainly on my arms and legs even in the palms of my hands and legs swelling really, i take 20mg of lasix daily but doesn't seem to work should i consult my physician, and could this be a reaction to my bp medication?

Thanks for writing to us.
Less than 1 in 1000 prescriptions of COREG will invite wheals and itchy lesion on skin. But definitely it can be related. Even LASIX can cause this (at a frequency higher than COREG) if you are taking both drugs together. You must consult your physician to determine the exact cause and get treatment for same.
