Taking Depo Shot. Have Heavy Bleeding. Is This Normal?
hi < I been on the depo needle for 26months and I just got my shot n October 11th and now is bleeding heavily , is this normal ? my doctor was on vaction and I was due for my needle on the 8th of October but I got a licsened practical nurse to give it to me in my are in the muscle .. I am just nervous because I was on it for over 2 ears and I figure I would not bleed
Depo Proveracontraception can result in episodes of break through bleeding so this is likely to be the cause of the bleeding that you are experienced. The slight delay in the injection may also contribute to the bleeding.
If the bleeding is prolonged then you may need to consult your doctor who would be able give you medication to stop the bleeding.
