Taking Elleste. Have Period Like Pain In Abdomen Going Down To Legs And Continuous Bleeding. Suggest?

I am taking elleste hrt 2mg and have been for 10yrs. I have been very happy with the results and gad no problems untill 7 days ago. I have prenenstrual like pain to my liwer back, hips and lower abdomen, down the tops of my legs to my knees. I have been bleeding quite a lot, and am continuing to bleed. I am 62 . I will see my gp next week. Do you think i need to change the hrt, stop the hrt,

Hello ma'am.

Yes your problem could be related to the HRT, or someother underlying condition.

It would be protocol to discontinue HRT in the presence of any complications, but let us leave this to the good judgement of your prescribing doctor.

I would also recommend a blood test to check on your hormone levels and a transvaginal ultrasound scan.
