Tender Small Hole Behind Upper Molar, Difficulty To Open Mouth. Using Syringe With Hot Water And Salt. Serious?

feels like a small hole behind my right back upper molar. It has felt tender for a week now, and earlier in the week it was difficult to open my mouth all the way. I have been brushing more than usual in the area and using a syringe with hot water and salt. I hope this will go away on its own, but I want to make sure it is nothing serious.

Hello and welcome.

It appears there could be a small cavity developed in the molars.

please do not do self medication and visit your dentist once.A simple clinical evaluation will solve your problem.

Further if required you can go for antibiotics and analgesics as you have mentioned there is difficulty in opening your mouth. Therefore there could be an abscess too.

Hope it helps.
Thanks.
Take care.
