Tested Negative For Chlamydia But Doctor Says I Have It

I have a negative for chlymedia but my doctor said test showd at one time i did have it. Is that possible? I never had symptoms nor took meds to cure. So will a past chlymedia be detected on a test? I am negative.. Test only showed i at one time had it. Please please explain.

Positive tests are important in cases of infections like chlamydia.Doctor is considering normal test as false negaive.So I would suggest to go with your doctors opinion.Regards
