Testosterone Levels Are Normal For The Age Still Interested For Optimal Dosage. Will This Benefit?

My father, Bob Taylor, who is 89 is interested in considering the possible benefits of HRT. He has been told by his family doctor his testosterone levels are "normal" for his age and would not consider giving him any additional testosterone. I have told my dad there may be a big difference between "normal" and "optimal".
I'm almost 60 and was told I was normal, for my age, but that I was interested in an optimal level ... while keeping (monitoring) side-effects. My family doctor got a 2nd opinion from an endocrinologist and he said I could take a small IM dose 1X / week. I feel great.
I'm curious if my dad would benefit from testing to determine if HRT would be to his benefit.
