Tests Done. Diagnosed Lymphoma. Have Been Suggested Chemo. What To Expect Going Forward?

I found out today that I have lymphoma. I did not have any symptoms based on everyting that I read. The only thing that happened was a pea size bump showed up 12 days ago and is now the size of a clemintine orange. I went through blood work, MRI's, biospy and a CT scan. Doc said I would have to have chemo and that he is setting up an appointment with an oncologists for this week. He also said he would be inserting a port in my neck.

Is this typical to be on a major fast track and what am I to expect going forward?

Hi,
You have not mentioned what type of lymphoma you are suffering from. There different subtypes of lymphoma and management differs completely. The prognosis depends on the stage of the disease. Nothing to worry right now. Most of the lymphomas are completely curable. Follow your doctors' advise.
