Thick Raised Skin On Shaft Of Penis, Masturbate Frequently. Could This Be The Cause?

i'm a 27yr old male. I have a thickened/slightly raised area of skin on the shaft of my penis nearer to the base... right where i hold myself during masturbation. I did masturbate quite frequently and for extended periods of time through my teens and early 20's, Could this be the cause of it? or perhaps something more serious? The area is roughly 1.5cm x 1.5cm, and has been present for a few years now, with no noticeable change in size, i also have no pain or curvature in the penis

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi ! It is unusual to have this kind of raised area at the base of the penis due to habitual masturbation. As it is present for a long period of time, nothing much to be worried. However, I would suggest you to consult a Urologist/general surgeon for getting examined clinically and confirm that it is benign. Good luck and take care.
