Thinning Hair In Crown Area Of Scalp Due To Hairfall. Prescribed Regaine After Having Allergy For Gromo 5% Minoxidil Solution. Help

Hi,

My question is for any dermatologist. I have hair fall issues and my hair has started thinning from the crown area of my scalp. I had been using 'Gromo 5% ' minoxidil solution for a month after that which I developed allergy to it and was prescribed 'Regaine 2' by my doctor. But as I found, 'Regaine 2' too contains minoxidil. Wouldn't I again develop allergy to minoxidil, as I had earlier?

hi by ur description yours is androgenic alopecia.minoxil is the drug of choice.allergic reaction may be due to minoxidil it self or due to solvent used in it if is allergic to solvent then changing the brand can help because different brands use different solvents or preservatives.if it is due to minoxidil itself whatever brand u use u get allergic reaction,.only option in that condition is hair transplantation
