Thirsty, No Appetite, Blockage In Aortic Valve. Time Running Out?
Please. my 90 year old mother has had 40% of her aortic value working since 14 months ago. For tthe last month she has been going down. very active women, mind was still excellent but since this weekend she has been thirsty , not wanting to eat and she is down to 98 about. yesterday and today has been drunk till mid afternoon. is this a possible sign of time running out
Thanks for your health concerns; the symptoms are not necessarily specific of aortic valve disease, but it is a possibility that valvular disease has progressed which certainly can be a cause of heart failure; it sounds more currently as a non-specific failure to thrive, and the goals of care and her wishes should be evaluated at this point
Truly yours,
