Throat Infection, Cold, Severe Pain In The Morning. Taking Azax Medication. Alternative Medication?
i am having throat infection & cold for the last 4 days, I started taking Azax 500(one tab morning and evening) since 3 days but my throat still hurts and is very bad in morning for couple hours, tomorrow will be my 4th day since taking this medicine, my question is - is azax 500 good enough ? or try some other medicine ? I am 52 yr old man..
Hi, Raj,
Thanks for query.
Azax is very sensitive for throat infection but as you are taking for 4 days and still there is no improvement, it is possible that bacteria are resistant to this medicine.
So it is better to go for throat swab examination and culture so that bacteria causing this infection and medicine effective against particular that bacteria can be find out.
So it is better, do not go for self medication and consult your doctor.
Ok and bye.
