Thumb Injury, What Should I Do ?

Last night I fell and caught myself with my thumb which bent upwards followed by a lot of pain, there wasn t too much swelling but felt stiff and sore , however couple of hours ago I accidently tried to use it and it seemed to pop out a little and now is red around the base of my thumb, and has swollen up, what should I do ? go A&E or just leave it be

Get an X ray in A&E. This may be a dislocation. If yes, may need reduction and immobilization.
