HI I JUST WANTED TO KNOW..DOES DOXYCYCLINE CAUSE YOU TO MISS A PERIOD ALTHOUGH IBEEN OFF THE MEDICATION SINCE MAY..I HAVE HAD SICKNESS LASTWEEK AND THE DAY MY PERIOD WAS DUE WHICH WAS JUNE 4TH I HAD SORE TINGLING BREAST FOR ABOUT 2 OR 3 DAYS WELL UP UNTIL YESTERDAY STRAIGHT NOT TO MENTION LIKE THE TWO DAYS PRIOR TO MISSING MY CYCLE MY BOOBS WERE KINDA TINGLY BEFORE MY CYCLE BUT MY CYCLE NEVER SHOWED IAM NOW 5 DAYS LATE ..IS THIS NORMAL ??
Hi and thanks for the query. I am so sorry about the delay and all the worries this has caused you.
Doxycycline doesn't cause you to miss your periods. A period which is 5days late can be normal. However, if you have any other signs or symptoms that suggest otherwise, then they need to be properly evaluated before settling with this. If there are no other signs, then i suggest you stay and observe what happens in the coming weeks.
